Italian Ex-PM Berlusconi and Billionaire Pal Arrive in Malindi



Former Italian Prime Minister SIlvio Berlusconi and Italian billionaire Flavio Briatore jetted into Malindi on the 2nd of November. The two landed at the Malindi airport at 8.00 am on board Berlusconi's private jet.
Speaking on the phone, Phillip Chai, the manager of Lion in the Son Hotel, said Berlusconi and Briatore, who owns the hotel, said the two will be in the country for a week. They are expected to inspect the Sh500 million Billionaire's Resort under construction at the Malindi Marine National Park. The project is expected to be complete by the end of the year and will be opened early next year.
Berlusconi and Briatore were in Malindi barely two months ago. Sources said the former Prime Minister is planing to invest in the resort town of Malindi. Among other personalities who have visited the resort town of Malindi include Formula One Player Fernando Alonso, Super Model Naomi Campbell among others.
